Thank you, Baby Whisperer!

Our newest baby milestone: Ellie sleeping in her crib. And I have the Baby Whisperer to thank! After a frustrating and exhausting week of listening to Ellie "cry it out" every night at bedtime (for hours and hours), a co-worker of Everett's reminded me of the Baby Whisperer. I read the book that night - (Thanks to Alison Schmelzer for letting me borrow). After three days of applying the Baby Whisperer's techniques, Ellie is sleeping in her crib and only feeding once a night. Everett and I have our evenings back and can actually enjoy each other without the background music of Ellie's screams. I love how flexible her suggestions are (you order the baby's day (eat, play, sleep) instead of putting them on a strict schedule that forces you to live by the clock). Ellie is responding well: last night she slept from 10 pm to 9:30 am and only woke up once to eat!

awesome! i probably did not do that right when campbell was 2 months old... we (meaning chad) had a REALLY hard time with the crying too... so we tended to rock camp to sleep, then place him in his crib. BUT thankfully, now at 8 months, he can pretty much be put in the bed and go to sleep! im so proud of ellie! (and you!)
