Any Old Saturday

Well, this is what our Saturday was like. I had both kids in the double stroller in a store.

Ellie (in a sing song voice): Mason, you are really not cute at all. Mason, you are really not cute at all.

Me: Ellie, that is not nice. Just be quiet if you arent going to be nice.

Mason: Waaaa!

Me: Ellie, what did you do to her?

Nosy Salesperson Who Should Mind Her Own Business to me: You don't know that she did anything to her.  

Me: Yes I do. This baby doesnt cry unless she is hungry and she just ate.

Salesperson: Oh, you are right. The big one is biting the little ones toes.

Later that night as we are getting in the car.

Ellie: Mama, Mason has a neck! Daddy, Mason has a neck!

Me: Yes, she does. 

Ellie: She has a neck just like me and just like you and just like Daddy. Did God make her a neck?

Everett: Yes, God made her a neck.

Ellie: I'm so glad God made her a neck.

At home as we are getting ready for bed.

Ellie: Mason, you are my favorite friend. 

Summer Fun

Mason is growing so fast - sucking her thumb, sleeping through the night (occasionally), holding her head, smiling, laughing. She has grown from a tiny infant to a chubby baby. Ellie just loves her and wants to hold her all the time, put her paci in, etc. Ellie is growing, too. She is looking so big. She is so funny. In church today, she looked at me at said "Mama, my heartbeat is blinking."

4th of July

We did a little tailgating in the van on the 4th. Saw some great fireworks, stepped in a big pile of ants, and had a great time!
