A few pics from our hospital stay. Two very long nights of me sleeping in this tiny crib/hospital bed with Mason :) RSV is a frustrating sickness - because it is a virus, it doesn't really respond to meds, but since Mason had two episodes where she turned blue and wasnt breathing well, we stayed in the hospital on oxygen for a few days... It was a little scary for awhile but there were so many blessings. God's hand truly went before us and prepared the way and He reminded us of His presence at every step. It could have been so much worse. So many children are so sick in that hospital. We were thankful for such a quick stay.

Mason's 1st food

Rice Cereal - 6m. She loves it despite her serious face. I think she just is an intense eater who wants her food now and doesn't like to share - much like her mama :) Do you think Ellie and Mason's profiles look alike in the pic above? As babies, they really favor. I will try and put some comparison pics on the blog once I've caught up

Well, it got worse, but we're back now

I have taken a big break from blogging and am now attempting to catch back up. We had a very sick Fall - Mason ended up the hospital for two nights with RSV and getting 2 more ear infections after my last post about our sicknesses. Mama was just plain worn out for awhile... so read on and I will brief you on what we've been up to! I am writing this in December, but I am changing the post dates so everything appears in the order and time frame in which it happened. Yea for computers that can fix my procrastination at the touch of a button :)

When it Rains...

It Pours. The past 7 days have been quite the challenge at our house. Here is a summary.

2 sick little girls

6 calls to Pediatrician

3 visits to Pediatrician

2 calls to CVS

3 visits to CVS

5 prescriptions taken

4 OTC meds taken

1 eye swollen shut

2 ear infections

1 toe with 9 splinters (one the width of a match)

2 coughs

2 fevers

2 colds

1 infection

1 upset stomach

1 baby who wont take a bottle

5 or less hours of sleep each night

1 tired mama

Ellie's 1st Day of School

Well, this was actually day 3 because it took 3 days to get her to cooperate with the morning photo shoot... so we just kept pretending it was the first day of school. Ellie loves preschool and we could not ask for a better teacher or sweeter Christian environment. She is learning so much about her letters, rhyming words, cutting with scissors, different styles of art, and stories and songs about Jesus. One of my favorite songs they sing is "My best friend is Jesus, love him, love him. My best friend is Jesus, lo-ove Him"
