Week by Week

So taking these photographs is always an adventure. Trying to get Ellie to sit still in a chair and look at the camera is much like wrestling a little monkey. Here are a couple of shots from Weeks 15 & 16 - We are so thankful for the last 4 months with little Ellie!

14 weeks, 14 lbs, 14 oz

Yes, our little sumo baby continues to grow. She is now the age of a 3.5 month old but the size of a 6 month old. Way to grow, Ellie! She is changing so much. She now laughs a few times a week, has rolled over once, drools daily, and continues to try and fit her entire fist in her mouth. I think she must be in training to be one of those people you pay money to see at the fair! She is getting so big - it's time for another installment of a few of my favorite things.

A Few of My Favorite Things
1. the fluffy way her hair looks after a bath
2. the little breathing noises she makes when you put her in the water (hu hu hu like she is having to calm herself down about being in there)
3. the way she holds onto her burp cloth like its a little blankie
4. the way she laughs - all giggly and cute
5. the way she talks on the phone to her daddy at work
6. how excited she is to see Everett when he gets home (and how excited he is to see her)
7. the way she tries to hold her own bottle
8. how peaceful she looks when she is sleeping (we call it leeping)
9. the way she "talks" to her birdie on her bouncy swing - i think its her first friend
10. the way she watches her cousin clayton - she thinks he is the most fascinating 18 month old out there Posted by Picasa

Pajama Playtime

Just loungin around....Does anyone know how you can arrange these on Picasa so you can see more of her face in the pics underneath the top one?  Posted by Picasa

Little Miss Photogenic

Well, she doesnt have much choice. Because I am constantly photographing her, she has to be photogenic or at least I dont have to post the unphotogenic shots! We think she is cute in just about every shot! Here are a couple of fun ones from the last few weeks.

Ellie Ellie Bo Belly

Here's our sweet girl... 3 months old. Everett has started calling her "nugget" because she is so little and scrumptious. Other nicknames we call her are Ellie Belly, Punkin, and Rumple (because of the ways she folds into you when you hold her)... Posted by Picasa

Family Fun

Dad and Mom love their little Ellie...

Beach Baby

Ellie had a little fun in the sun at the beach this weekend... but no swimming outside for her little tender skin. We stuck to the indoor pool! Doesn't she just look like she is tired of me taking pictures of here. I can just hear her screaming "Moooom!" in her head. Posted by Picasa

Cutest Cousins

Front Row Seats. Clayton and Ellie are hanging out at our condo watching "Melmo" (that is Clayton language for Elmo). Clayton's chair is an elephant. Clayton loves Ellie and worries about her when she cries. He pats her on the head and kiss her forehead. He likes to say her name which comes out something like "Ewwie."

Kiddie Kissers - Clayton leans in for a sweet kiss on the forehead.  Posted by Picasa

Cowboy Clayton

Here is Clayton (my eighteen month old nephew). Isn't he cute in his cowboy hat? Yee-haw! He also loved wearing the laundry basket!

Happy Fourth of July

Our little firecracker was sparkling on the 4th in her precious swimsuit. Rebecca gave her this little number... I should have gotten a better shot of the back - blue with white stars!  Posted by Picasa

Wake Up Call

So, we went to Orange Beach last week, and our little sleeper decided she no longer wanted to sleep through the night. Hmm... sleep or eat? That seems to be the question and you can see what our little chunky monkey has been choosing :) I am slowly adjusting to this new (and depressing) schedule though I am fervently praying she will return to her 12 hour siestas soon.  Posted by Picasa
